INTRODUCTION

This PBWORKS site has been created in order to share thoughts, ideas, advise, and input from our community on the subject of developing a creative space in down town Oshawa. Please read THE CURRENT PROPOSAL. This proposal is based on personal and accumulated observations and opinions gathered from our community. As this proposal becomes infused with a broadly representative amount of local input it creates a 'design' for the space based on direct requests and suggestions. This page is openly shared with the city and potential investors. The 'YOUR INPUT' and 'WHO WE ARE' sections are particularly important for the purpose of representing the local creative population in a broad manner with names and creative disciplines to associate with each message.

INSTRUCTIONS

In order to enter information into any of these pages you need to request access. Do so by clicking the "Request Access" button to the top right hand side of this page. Once you have been granted access all you need to do to enter information on any page is click EDIT (a tab located on top left hand side of screen next to the VIEW tab) make your entry the way you would in a regular Word document and then click  SAVE (button on bottom left hand side of screen).

On the page titled YOUR INPUT please fill out your name, contact information and input as demonstrated. Share your wants, your needs, your opinions and ideas. It is important that the vision of this project be shaped directly by the individuals who would fill its space with visual, literary, musical and performing creative works. It is important that our community who would benefit socially and economically through the function of such a space speak their mind on the subject and make it clear that this is something we want to create. 

On the page titled YES OR NO please place an X below your category of choice. I want to be able to collect a quantifiable number to represent the desire our community has for a space of this nature.

On the page titled WHO WE ARE please post examples of and links to your work. Provide your name and any further information you may wish to share as an artist with this community. This page serves the purpose of showing the city, potential investors, and the general population just how many artists we have in this community.

On the page titled RELATED HISTORY, PROPOSALS, AND ARTICLES see the history of previous proposals, view a thorough slide show, read about other near by communities who have attempted and succeeded in creating an Art Space. Read notes and articles written by and about local creative initiatives.

Thank you very much for taking the time to do this. The more people who put forth their thoughts on this subject the more likely this accumulation of data and the accompanying proposal will be able to grab and hold the attention of the city and related investors.
